Vacation Time
Hello everyone. Last week was very eventful for my family. The time had finally arrived that I could meet my new grandson. His name is Carson and he was born in April. James, Johnathon, and I loaded up the car and headed to Sulphur, LA for the week. I thought that I had planned for everything that could possibly happen on our trip, but little did I know that I hadn't. A little background on my youngest son Johnathon is that he has ADHD and is easily excited. Around 4 a.m. he woke up and started screaming. At this point I was being a good student in the passengers seat working on my Anatomy homework. When Johnathon screamed I shut my laptop quickly with my textbook inside. Needles to say that Johnathon was fine, he noticed the big battleship in Mobile Alabama. My laptop was not nearly as lucky because I had cracked the screen when I shut it. Was this a sign of how the rest of our trip was going to be? When we arrived at my sons home after 13 hours in the car, we were all three ready to be out of that car. I was ready to meet the newest member of the family, and the smile that I got made everything worth while. We set JOhnathon free to run off hours of built up energy, and I settled in to spoil my grandson as much as I could. Since I had done such a good job of destoying my laptop, getting my schoolwork done was impossible. There was one computer technician in Sulphur, and he wanted a small fortune to fix my laptop and that was not going to be possible. I found out quickly that not every household has a computer or the internet. I am very thankful though that I am an online college student because I have been able to catch back up since I got home. We had a great week as a family, and showing all the sights to Johnathon and Carson. We said our tearful goodbyes and headed back to Florida very blessed and very tired.
